YOUR FIT GUARANTEE

Commitment to Satisfaction
We are dedicated to ensuring the complete satisfaction of our members when it comes to their retainer fit. We guarantee that you will receive a high-quality, perfectly fitting retainer tailored to your needs.

FIT Guarantee Guidelines
If you find the fit of your retainer to be unsatisfactory, you have 30 days from the date of delivery to report the issue. Upon review of your case and confirmation that it falls under our FIT Guarantee guidelines, we will promptly create a brand-new, customized retainer at no additional charge.

Immediate Fit Check
We also recommend that you try your retainer on immediately upon receiving it. The faster we know of an issue with the fit, the better.

Post-Dental Work Recommendation
Additionally, if you have had dental work since your last scan, we highly recommend scheduling a new scan as we cannot guarantee the fit without it. To guarantee a well-fitting retainer, Retainers For Life requires an up-to-date 3D scan. Any dental changes since your last scan will void the Fit Guarantee. Call customer service immediately if you have experienced dental changes

Our Priority: Your peace of mind and overall well-being are our top priorities throughout your experience with us.

HOW TO CARE FROM YOUR NEW RETAINERS

FAQ's

Do you offer discounts?

Yes! Call your orthodontist or ask in office for their practice discount code to reduce the cost of your retainer.
What if I have a permanent retainer?

Permanent retainers only protect the teeth that it is connected to. At times that means only the front teeth. Your teeth can still shift with a permanent retainer and if you are unaware of a broken glue pad, it can cause decay and shifting if not immediately fixed. Protect your teeth by wearing your clear retainer over it.
How long does a retainer last?
Each retainer will last depending on how you wear and care for it. Clear retainers for the most part can last 3-5 years depending on how you wear down your retainers. Some people will grind their teeth heavily causing a retainer to only last 1 year or less, while others do not and they can last over 5 years. Hawley retainers tend to last 5-10 years or even more but may need occasional adjustments by your orthodontist.
How long do I need to wear a retainer?

Retainers are a lifetime commitment. Teeth will always have a tendency to shift back into their original position. Not only that, but as we age our arches tend to get narrow. That is why some people get treatment as adults, because although their teeth were always straight they begin to crowd with age. The only way to keep your smile straight after all of you and your orthodontist's hard work is to wear your retainers every night.
What happens if I need or get dental work done?

If you need to or have had dental work completed, contact your Orthodontist to check your retainer and schedule an appointment to get an updated  scan of  your teeth once all dental work has been completed.
How can I clean my retainer?
Begin by making sure your teeth are clean before wearing your retainer. Your retainer is sitting in your mouth overnight and it is important that the plaque is removed. In the morning, immediately after brushing your teeth, take a moment to brush your retainer. Do not use toothpaste directly on your retainer to prevent any unnecessary scratches on your retainer. You may use an over the counter retainer or denture cleaner but follow the instructions and do not leave it soaking for long periods of time. Do not use hot water on the retainer.
Will I outgrow my retainer?

No, retainers are made to fit over permanent teeth. This allows for the retainer to last longer. For our early treatment members, as permanent teeth erupt there will be a need to follow up with your Orthodontist to evaluate the need to complete orthodontic treatment. If additional treatment is completed, you will have the option to remain in the program by completing an update scan.
What if I am missing a tooth?
If you have a missing tooth we are absolutely able to have your retainer fabricated with artificial teeth for an additional fee.
How do I store my retainer?
You can use any retainer case! You will get a complimentary retainer case when you enroll in the program and will be able to purchase replacements whenever you need. Avoid leaving the retainer in the car as it can warp or melt.
QUESTIONS ON ORDERING REPLACEMENTS

What are valid reasons to order a replacement?
You can order replacements at any time for any reason. Whether you lost your retainer or your retainer is getting dingy, simply log in to your patient portal online, or contact us to process your replacement and we will have one sent to you directly.

Can I order more than one retainer at a time?
Yes, you can order as many as you would like. Some like to plan ahead for vacations or at times if a child splits time among family members you can have a retainer at each location.

How do I order a replacement retainer?
You can simply log into your patient portal on the website to process your order, if you have any additional questions on the process or would like additional assistance placing your order. Please feel free to contact our customer service team at 850-706-2406, or reach out to your Orthodontist.

What if I move?
Through the program you will have access to replacement retainers wherever you go. You will be able to visit our website or call your Orthodontist/Dentist to order replacement retainers in under 5 minutes.

How will I know what to order?
Your Orthodontist will prescribe your retainer when you are enrolling. Our system will follow the prescription to order a replica of your replacement retainer as prescribed by your Orthodontist/Dentist.

Can I use my HSA or FSA card to pay for my Doctor Approved Retainers?
Yes! You can.  After you complete your order you will receive a copy of your receipt to your email. Make sure to save this email as your insurance company will request a copy from you. If your insurance company requests any additional information, please contact customer service.

TROUBLESHOOTING QUESTIONS

What if my teeth shift?
If you have teeth that have shifted your retainer may fit very snug or not at all. If your retainer fits snug we recommend that you wear your retainer full time until the teeth realign or contact your Orthodontist/Dentist for an update scan.

What if I do not wear my retainer?
If you do not wear your retainers, your teeth will shift. If you have forgotten your retainer, begin by immediately wearing your retainer even if it feels very tight or does not fit perfectly over your teeth. Wear it fulltime and contact your Orthodontist/Dentist to check if you need an update scan.

What if my retainer fits loose?
Please schedule a visit with your Orthodontist/Dentist. They will be able to adjust your retainer. If you had excessively puffy gum tissue following orthodontic treatment, you may need an update scan to get a retainer that fits more accurately.
